1. Introduction

DIView is a free software tool designed to enhance your sim racing experience by allowing you to customize and optimize your pedal inputs. DIView can help you fine-tune sensitivity, deadzones, and other parameters to suit your preferences.

2. System Requirements

Before you begin, make sure your system meets the following requirements:

- Windows operating system

- Compatible sim racing pedals

- USB port for pedal connection

3. Downloading DIView

To get started, you'll need to download DIView here.

4. Installing DIView

Follow these steps to install DIView on your computer:

1. Run the DIView installer that you downloaded in the previous step.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

3. Once the installation is complete, launch DIView.

5. Connecting Your Sim Racing Pedals

Before you can configure and calibrate your pedals, ensure they are connected to your PC via a USB connection. DIView should automatically detect your pedals when they are connected.

6. Configuring DIView

  • Launch Eye View:
Upon launch, you'll encounter a screen with partitioned windows, especially if multiple Analog Devices are connected to your PC. Including a window for each one of your pedals.

  • Streamlining Devices:
To simplify the menu, navigate to "Edit" and then "Settings." Uncheck all devices except for the Phantom SP5-PRO pedals.

  • Pedal Inputs Display:
Pressing the pedals will show the black pointer moving, representing analog output to the game. Right-click each panel and select "View Raw Data."

  • Uncalibrated Raw Output:
The red pointer represents the uncalibrated raw output. To calibrate, right-click within the window panel and select "Calibration."

  • Setting Minimum Value:
Note the black text values. For the gas pedal, enter the raw number for the Min value, making the pedal show 0% when not pressed.

  • Setting Maximum Value:
Fully press the pedal and note the raw number for the Max value. Enter this, adjusting slightly for load cell input variance.

  • Adding Dead Zone:
Revisit the Min value to add a bit of dead zone, accounting for load cell variants.

  • Calculate Center Value:
The center value, vital for maintaining input linearity, is the midpoint between Min and Max. Utilize a mid-range calculator: input your min and max values, and it will yield the accurate mid (Center) value for your DIView calibration. Note: Pay attention to whether the value is negative.

  • Repeat for Clutch and Brake:
Follow the same procedure for the clutch and brake pedals, adjusting Min, Max, Center and adding dead zone as needed.

  • Negative Values:
For any negative center values, use copy and paste to enter the negative symbol. For some reason, DIView will not allow you to type “-”.

  • Final Testing:
Test the pedals on track and return to adjust calibration if necessary. Ensure accurate input registration from 0 to 100.

  • Save and Apply:
Save the calibration settings and apply them. Your Phantom SP5-PRO pedals are now calibrated and ready for use in your sim racing setup.
